Kion Dojo

Kion Dojo is one of the most active taiko (Japanese drums) schools in Hamburg. It was founded in 2006 by Ingmar Kikat and is a partner dojo of Tawoo Dojo in Tokyo/Japan.
A special characteristic of the way Kion and Tawoo play drums is the constant groove that runs through most pieces and makes the body vibrate. From numerous performances and workshops at home and abroad to the self-organized international taiko festival "KionSai", Kion Dojo is active in many areas.
Above all, it is the natural joy of rhythm and community that is paramount for the Kions!
