RAIKO

RAIKO 雷鼓 (“Thunder Drum”) is a German-Japanese Taiko group from Munich and was founded in 2020 by the members of the former formation Kokuryu-Daiko.
As the successor group to Kokuryu-Daiko, RAIKO has thus been promoting the powerful art of Japanese drumming for over 15 years.
RAIKO performs traditional drum pieces deeply rooted in Japanese culture, as well as modern arrangements and energetic original compositions.
With great passion, joy, and powerful physical effort, RAIKO regularly captivates audiences at Japanese cultural festivals, city festivals, and private events.
