TaikoMon from Madrid, Spain has been active since 2017. The group combines traditional and modern taiko and also explores fusion with other artistic disciplines.
TaikoMon is both a school and a performance company dedicated to Japanese taiko drumming. Through classes, workshops, and performances, the group aims to introduce, share, and promote this art form. TaikoMon is conceived as a creative space with a vibrant, engaging, and performance-oriented approach while remaining closely connected to the Japanese roots of taiko.
For the group, Taiko is more than music: a transformative experience that connects body, rhythm and emotion, bringing people together through expression and shared energy – with respect for tradition and openness to creativity.
